House in Yurigaoka
concept
This house is located along a slope in a middle of Yurigaoka, Kawasaki City.
The exterior line shapes the outline of the house responding to the slope line.
Two exterior walls provide light and shade and produce various expressions.
The space between the two exterior walls allows the uses of outside stairs, terrace, skylights and open ceiling space.
The family common space is prepared on the second floor to ensure the openness to the south garden and the surrounding view by a continuous connection to the roof terrace.
The sky and landscape scenery of the slope cropped by the wall may be inscribed into and become a part of daily life.
